Map of our day's journey
First, we went to Klang to have some bak kut teh, which is a very special kind of soup that supposedly originated in Malaysia.

It's a very hearty and tasty stew made with pork ribs and herbs and I definitely recommend you try it if you come to Malaysia.
After the bak kut teh, we went to Petaling Street, which is KL's historic China Town.

Petaling Street has a lot of hawkers selling their stuff to tourists and locals. I'm going to go out on a limb and say most of the branded stuff is of questionable authenticity. Lots of nice snacks though!

After Petaling, we hit the town again, this time visiting Independence Square and the Palace of Justice, which has a very cool name.

After Independence Square, we headed to the National Monument, a memorial for fighters who died during World War I, World War II, and the Malayan Emergency.

All in all, a very successful day of sight-seeing.
