| You're Impressed: Don't Lie |
My dad drove Wearn and I to the Concord BART station and, after a short dinner at Mimi's (don't recommend), we managed to just catch the train to SFO. We arrived not long after 9pm on and our flight didn't start to board until 12:40am so we had some waiting around time. I think this video sums the mood up nicely:
I lied at the end when I said there'd be another update.
Since I can't normally sleep on planes (it's the sitting-up part that makes it so uncomfortable), I had the bright idea that I was going to be able to do a lot of reading and studying on the plane, but once we took off all the lights went out and everybody started nesting for bed. I didn't want to turn on the spot light for fear of angering my fellow passengers, so I ended up just watching movies and TV the whole flight. Fortunately, Cathay Pacific had quite an extensive selection, so I was actually pretty well-entertained. I was also able to sleep for 2 hours, so that helped. Food was pretty good, as well.
When we reached Hong Kong about 14 hours later it was 5:30am local time, so everything was still closed (free wifi ftw!). I did take some pictures though:

The flight to Kuala Lumpur from Hong Kong was uneventful. Since we flew CP again, I was able to finish some of the films I'd started on the previous flight; although I missed the last 15 minutes of Transporter (shucks!). Wearn took some nice pics of the ground as we were on approach for landing:

Everything went quite smoothly from there. Wearn's father and sister-in-law were waiting to pick us up. I'll limit the scope of this post to just the flight itself for now and end off.
Update: Check out the photo stream for more photos and mischief from the flight.
LOL to your video. nerd alert! =P
